Cheers to 2nd Year!

Cheers to Second Year!! Yesterday was my final assessment and it was such a successful day! After weeks and weeks of painful hands and feet doing all the hard work of paper cut, light experimentation, transportation, running around, presenting, and so much more, it paid off! I got 8.5 out of 10 which is such an improvement from previous years of getting 8s. After 2 years of struggling to find my pathway in art and look beyond the surface of why I do art, I finally found my style that is developing. I was so nervous and yet I spoke from my heart. I wrote an essay on a very interesting topic of sensory comprehension in deafness which I will share soon and received an 8! It was a success! I loved my ways of working, and in the next few posts on @prishartist, you will see all the descriptions of each of my work! My favorite was definitely the big shadow art, the two installations I made, and the layered paintings that I will show soon! It was such a great learning experience learning how each of these new methods can create such an insightful experience for me as an artist and person! After presenting, my teachers were speechless and the first thing they said was “I have no questions”. I was surprised myself too and couldn’t wait to hear their feedback. One of them said how I just went from a simple light art in the 3rd semester to this huge work! I just felt like crying relieved and happy tears as I have struggled so much with feedback and the phrase of “let it go”. Now I’m starting to go deeper! I’m so excited to see where this takes me! He also mentioned how I keep asking questions to all the feedback, just keep asking and it has shown in your work! I felt so happy that I was finally becoming an artist that is developing so much more! I cannot wait to see what comes after this! Cheers to half my bachelors! Another 2 crucial years to go! For now, time to enjoy summer and gain more art knowledge!
